Founded in 1990, KC Logistics is a 100% Female owned Level One BBBEE compliant logistics company based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The company was established by Mr. Chris Pillay and is now owned and managed by Shamala Pillay, who has been with the company since 1992.
With commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction the company has grown from having 1 vehicle in 1990 to having a fleet of 11 vehicles today. Christopher Pillay joined the family business in 2014 as the Operational Manager.
The security of the commodities / cargo we transport is always a top priority. As part of their business strategy, all vehicles undergo regular service and maintenance.
KC Logistics prides themselves on the years of Service Excellence and years of experience in the Transport Industry, making them successful in securing contracts with major companies like Lafarge and MSC.
The winner of our “owner of the year” competition is, for the second year in a row is T Pillay Cartage. From small beginnings back in the late 1980’s, owners Chris and Cookie Pillay have become one of the eastern region’s strongest Lorry Owner Driver Companies.

In 2003 and 2004 our company achieved the awards for “Best maintained fleet”
To have our team come home after work in the same condition as which they left is the simple safety goal we have. We strive towards safely delivering goods and we strictly implement safe work methods and conduct regular tool box meetings to consult with our workers to achieve these goals.
